How can I straighten my mini-blinds when some are bent?
I hate these mini-blinds, but they came with the apartment. I think they are made of some really light, and obviously easily bendable aluminum or something.
When I go to open or close my windows, a couple of the blind segments (not sure what those are called?) bend or stick outward, and I can never seem to get them back into place?
Now, to avoid that from happening, I pull the blinds up to adjust the windows. But I can't figure out the best way to re-form those individual blinds as they are supposed to be?
Any ideas other than buying some individual replacements? They are part of my apartment, and I don't have money to spend. They look really crappy.

Are there 'extras' at the bottom that are always grouped with the bottom of the blind? The strings that support the blinds usually feed into the bottom piece and is held in place with a plasic button. You can pop the plastic button out, untie the knot at the end of the string and 'unfeed' the string thru the blinds. Remove the bent one and swap it with one from the bottom. Feed the string back thru the blinds and bottom piece, re-tie the knot and put the button back on.
